Campus Engage National Coordinator
Kate’s role is to drive and promote the Campus Engage National Network activities including: community-based learning, community-based research, student volunteering, and knowledge exchange.
To date Kate has worked in roles covering knowledge translation for policy development, and communications. Previous to joining the IUA Kate worked with the Centre for Effective Services, managing the Centre´s knowledge exchange network and communication, and delivering a range of capacity building tools to support an evidence-informed approach to community, voluntary and youth work services, practice and policy.
Kate has also worked with UNESCO Centre in Northern Ireland, Educate Together National Initiative; and at an EU level Kate has worked with the French National Institute for Demographics on an FP6 research project that studies young people’s experience of participation, education and access to employment.
Kate has an MA in communications and an MSc in social research skills, policy and evaluation.
