Each week our ten students on the IUA China Scholarship will be telling us all about life in Beijing, from learning Chinese in Beijing Normal University to working life in China’s massive capital city.

As a student studying Chinese in DCU, Finn brings us through his week two in Beijing with intense language classes, culture classes and their business visit to Hejun Management Consulting. Finn also shares his top tips for surviving in Beijing!

The students making the most of their remaining time in China from trying famous ‘Peking duck’ to taking a high-speed train to Shanghai for a weekend trip in the most populated city in the world.

UCD computer science student William captures his final week in Beijing on the IUA China Scolarship. As an intern in software developer in the R&D department of 9am– Healthier and Smarter Workplace, William has the opportunity to solve interesting real-world problems while also having some fun along the way! The students also finished off their programme with an official closing ceremony at the Irish Embassey in Beijing.
