At a reception on Oct. 12th a joint IUQB/Irish Universities Association (IUA) publication entitled: "A FRAMEWORK FOR QUALITY IN IRISH UNIVERSITIES" (Second edition, Oct. 2007) was launched by Mr. Tom Boland, Chief Executive, Higher Education Authority (HEA). This second, updated edition is therefore, of special significance, given the changing international and national contexts and the need to keep pace with these on-going developments. It presents a picture of a more developed system and aims to facilitate constructive debate. Also, it encourages fundamental innovation, while providing up to date information on developments at institutional, national and international levels.
