Visit of the European Research Council to Dublin
8th & 9th October 2007

The European Research Council (ERC) held one of their regular Board meetings in Dublin recently at the invitation of the IUA.
The ERC is responsible for funding outstanding scientists across Europe and has a budget of 7bn over the next seven years. For details of the ERC see http://erc.europa.eu/
Members of the prestigious council, made up of Europe's top scientists, enjoyed two days in Dublin which included a gala dinner hosted by SFI. The group was also treated to a 'Science Tour' of Dublin led by science broadcaster Mary Mulvihill.
