This symposium is aimed at members of NDLR Communities of Practice and academic staff across many different subject disciplines across Irish Higher Education. Participation and attendance is also invited from International Subject Networks or Communities of Practice. This inaugural event is an opportunity for academic staff across different subject disciplines in Irish Higher Education and members of NDLR Communities of Practice (CoP) to share existing digital content and know-how, exchange ideas, debate issues, present their practice, and showcase their endeavours in all aspects of sharing digital resources for teaching and Learning. The event will highlight good practice in developing digital resources for teaching and learning, usage and reusage. As well as the cultural, organisational and technological implications to consider when facilitating sharing.
The National Digital Learning Repository Project (NDLR) is a HEA funded pilot project between all Irish Universities, Institutes of Technology and their affiliated colleges. The NDLR is an online service to support collaboration and sharing of teaching and learning resources within the Irish Third Level Education sector. The NDLR is providing infrastructure to foster collaboration and support subject or discipline based communities in higher education.
