You are invited to attend and participate in the ninth Europtrode conference, Europtrode IX. The Europtrode conference is the premier forum worldwide for the presentation of innovations in optical chemical sensors and biosensors.

The conference presents both cutting edge developments and key emerging trends. Europtrode IX will be held in Dublin, Ireland from March 30th to April 2nd, 2008.

An impressive selection of world-leading plenary and invited speakers has already confirmed attendance and we look forward to receiving your abstract submissions and to seeing you in Dublin!

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

The Scientific Programme will comprise Plenary and Invited Presentations from world-leading experts together with Oral and Poster Presentations selected from abstracts submitted by the broader research community.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Scientists interested in presenting oral contributions or posters at Europtrode IX are invited to submit an Abstract using the on-line submission process detailed on the conference website: www.EuroptrodeIX.eu.

 

THE CLOSING DATE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS OCTOBER 26TH, 2007.

 

Acceptance notifications for Oral and Poster presentations will be circulated to contributors via e-mail by December 21st, 2007. All accepted presentations will be invited to submit full papers for publication in the Europtrode IX Proceedings which will appear in a special issue of a refereed journal.

** Students will be requested to submit a letter from their supervisor before registration can be verified.

Conference registration fees cover admission to all sessions, conference materials (including soft and hard copy of the Book of Abstracts), tea/coffee breaks, all lunches, Welcome Reception, dinner on Monday, March 31st and the Conference Medieval  Banquet on Tuesday, April 1st.

 

ACCOMMODATION

A range of accommodation options will be provided for Europtrode IX attendees. To date we have negotiated conference rates at two hotels, which are on-site at the conference venue: The Crowne Plaza Hotel & The Express by Holiday Inn. These rates will be available up until February 8, 2008. Please see the conference website for details. Additional options for accommodation will be added to the website as they become available.

 

TRAVEL INFORMATION

The conference venue is only 2km from Dublin Airport which is well served by many airlines from Europe, North America and Asia. It is also convenient to fly to London and to take a short (< 1hour) connecting flight to Dublin. 

 

CONFERENCE VENUE

Europtrode IX will be held at the new Crowne Plaza Conference Centre which is located in a mature parkland setting close to Dublin City University. It is approximately 2km from Dublin Airport and 5km from Dublin City Centre. Further details are available on the conference website.
