CONFERENCE FOCUS:
Economic success is increasingly based upon knowledge creation and exploitation. Knowledge is the new raw material driving Ireland’s economic development. Consequently, the ability to access this raw material is essential if the island is to maintain its competitive advantage. Research Information Systems provide access to the research being conducted in the higher education sector and research establishments. There is an increasing awareness of the need for quality research management information systems which can be used to effectively disseminate the Irish Research effort to National and International audiences.
