A national information event on a number of Marie Curie Schemes and the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grants was organised by the Marie Curie Office of the Irish Universities Association in collaboration with the National Contact Point for the ERC at SFI.

Marie Curie Industry Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) Scheme

A national information event on the Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) scheme is being organized by the Marie Curie Office of the Irish Universities Association (IUA). The programme includes a presentation of the IAPP scheme (objectives, eligibility and evaluation criteria, funding level) as well as a number of short presentations by successful contractors in the Marie Curie “Transfer of Knowledge – Industry-Academia Partnerships” programme from FP6 (predecessor of the IAPP scheme in FP7). Ample time will be devoted to a Q&A session about any aspect of the new scheme.

Each workshop will start off with a general introduction to the Marie Curie Individual Actions in FP7, covering their objectives, eligibility criteria, financial aspects and also the support systems that are in place to help moving to another country.
The remainder of the workshop will present further details of the proposal preparation including:
- where to find relevant information
- what are the key points to keep in mind when preparing a proposal
- how does the evaluation process work and what are the evaluation criteria
- common mistakes to avoid
This second part of the workshop is primarily for those already preparing a proposal or those seriously thinking about it. Participants will have the opportunity to ask more in-depth and specific questions relating to their project proposal or idea.
