University Finance
The IUA, primarily through the Universities Chief Finance Officers Group (UCFOG), co-ordinates sectoral positions on a broad range of finance and funding related matters. The IUA promotes such sectoral positions and liaises with the HEA and Department of Education and Science on a wide range of finance related issues including the adequacy of recurrent and capital funding, the level of student fees, financial management and governance requirements and university related tax relief schemes.
Sectoral positions are co-ordinated through a range of sub-groups including standing groups such as the Financial Accountants Group and Research Accountants Group and also through working groups dealing with specific sectoral issues.
