The IUA Groups discuss and pursue policy issues and actions under specific thematic headings.
The five Standing Groups are:
The Registrars' Group
The Vice Presidents/Deans of Research Group
The Chief Financial Officers' Group (UCFOG)
The HR Directors' Group
The Secretaries' Group
Plenary meetings of members of these groups are held at least four times a year.
Within the IUA framework a large number of expert groups facilitate inter-university co-operation on important specialised areas.
Chairmanship of the Standing Groups rotates between the universities in line with IUA Chairmanship.
